First online practice tests for the new HSK standard

The new HSK 3.0 standard takes effect July 2026. HSK 2 adds 200 new words on top of HSK 1's 300, for about 500 in total. No official textbooks or sample tests have been published yet, so our 24 mock exams are among the first practice tests aligned with the new HSK 2 format and vocabulary.

Exam Tips

  • Listening audio plays via text-to-speech. Make sure your volume is on.
  • The timer counts down from 40 minutes and auto-submits when it reaches zero.
  • You need 120 out of 200 points to pass (60%). Each question is worth 5 points.
  • You can navigate back to previous questions before submitting.

HSK 3.0 Level 2 Practice Test Structure

The HSK 3.0 Level 2 exam has two sections: Listening (20 questions, 4 parts) and Reading (20 questions, 4 parts), for 40 questions in 40 minutes. It builds on HSK 1 by testing the 200 new HSK 2 words on top of the first 300, and you pass with 120 of 200 points.

Our practice tests mirror that official format, timing, and scoring, so a timed mock is the most reliable way to tell when you are ready for the real thing.

HSK 3.0 vs HSK 2.0: What Changed for Level 2

The HSK 3.0 standard, effective July 2026, replaces the old HSK 2.0 system. At Level 2 the total vocabulary rises to about 500 words (HSK 1's 300 plus 200 new), and everyday topics like travel, daily routine, and simple opinions are expanded. It is a clear step up from the old 300-word HSK 2.

MyHSK2 provides 24 full-length mock exams built specifically for the HSK 3.0 Level 2 format, each with 40 questions across listening and reading, so you can rehearse the real exam as many times as you need.
