Which Way (往)

1. Explain it simply

往 (wǎng) means 'towards' and points a movement in a direction.

The order is 往 + direction word + verb: 往前走, 往左看, 往右走.

The whole 往-phrase comes before the verb, never after it.

2. Show examples

3. Share a tip

Keep the order 往 + direction + verb. Say 往前走, not 走往前 — the direction always comes before the verb of motion.
