The Most (最)

1. Explain it simply

Put 最 right before an adjective: 最好, 最贵, 最漂亮.

It also goes before verbs of feeling like 喜欢 and 想: 最喜欢.

最 means 'the most' or '-est'.

2. Show examples

九月最好。

Jiǔ yuè zuì hǎo.

September is the best.

最 + adjective

我最喜欢踢足球。

Wǒ zuì xǐhuan tī zúqiú.

I like playing football the most.

最 + 喜欢

它的眼睛最漂亮。

Tā de yǎnjing zuì piàoliang.

Its eyes are the most beautiful.

最 right before the adjective

3. Share a tip

最 always sits directly in front of the word it intensifies, never at the end of the sentence.
