A Bit Too (有点儿…)

1. Explain it simply

有点儿 + adjective means 'a bit too...' and carries a mild complaint.

Put it right before the adjective: 有点儿 + adjective.

Use it for unwanted things like 有点儿贵 or 有点儿冷, not for good ones.

2. Show examples

今天有点儿冷。

Jīntiān yǒudiǎnr lěng.

It's a bit cold today.

这件衣服有点儿大。

Zhè jiàn yīfu yǒudiǎnr dà.

This garment is a bit too big.

有点儿 + adj

我昨天有点儿累。

Wǒ zuótiān yǒudiǎnr lèi.

I was a bit tired yesterday.

有点儿 goes before the adjective and carries a complaint - use it for unwanted things (有点儿贵), not good ones.
